Bob Dylan Live Sucks

My girlfriend and I went to see Bob Dylan live at the Roundhouse in London on 26th of April 2009. I thought it was going to be one of the best concerts I've ever been to.... Boy, was I wrong!
It ended up being most disappointing concert I've ever been to. We even left before the end, and I must say we were not the only ones.
And why it was so bad for me? First of all, no interaction with the audience, he didn't say a word. Than there's his singing, which reminded me more of Barney from Napalm Death than anything else. You just couldn't understand the word he's saying/singing and if you combine that with completely unrecognisable arrangements you're left with a feeling that you're listening to some crappy blues band with a singer with some grind core aspiration.

Bob Dylan is going to perform here in Slovakia in June 2010. One ticket costs about 120EUR. I better checked this before on youtube and it's exactly what you've experienced. This man WAS great. but now he's just a living death. His voice has nothing to do with singing. He can't even sing a simple melody. I wanted this as a gift for my father, but it would only turn to remind him how old he's going to be in few years :) So, better not. I'll spend 240 EUR for something more reasonable. Thank you for posting your experiences.

and whistle shout their own selfish prefrences deafening other audience members and unsettling Bob. Why dont you just keep it quiet?
to be fair, I'm not one of those "idiots" and I thought he was miserable live. Saw him late 2008 and he played nothing but country/blues/western arrangements of his music, he played keyboard on all but 2 or 3 songs, and he only spoke to the audience twice. once half way to introduce his band and once at the end to thank his band. Didn't even say goodnight.
Went to see him in Post Falls, ID....left second song...TERRIBLE!
went to see bob dylan with a couple of friends in 2010.he sucks as hell!!!i was truly astonished that noone threw tomatoes at him.if only i had some that day...i believe he embarassed himself by giving this concert(noone forced him iinto it)and by not saying anything to the crowd
Uncle Bob once said that he'll keep playing live until no one turns up and then he'll quit. It is a war of attrition this ' never ending tour' but eventually the penny will drop with even the most rusted Dylan fans that Poor old Bob is just God awful live and has been in concert , a has been for 20 years. 'Oh Mercy' was the last time I just got bowled over by Dylan on record. Live he still sucks, in fact day by day getting worse if that was possible.I saw him Live in '86 with Tom Petty and Tom Petty stole the show. I saw him twice in 1991 and then in 2004?? with Patti Smith & Patti Smith put him to shame .
Every night is a very long night indeed for his band, who trot out tired 12 bar boogies and horrid re- workings of his classic tunes.
Never again!!!!
